Craig is a Métis musician-scholar who shares educational resources through music,

storytelling, and video.  His work often highlights Louis Riel and Métis history,

making these stories accessible and engaging for students and audiences alike.

Teachers can selectively use his projects  (such as the Songs of Justice Project and the

Animal Kinship Project) to integrate Indigenous perspectives into education.  Whether you

teach Grades 4–6, 7–12, or post-secondary courses, Craig’s work supports dialogue and

understanding toward truth and reconciliation efforts in education.

Beyond classroom resources, Craig partners with schools, conferences, churches,

organizations, and event promoters to offer live performances, talks, and consultations.

Connection Through Music / Reconciliation Through Education

“Music is a powerful vehicle for sustainable social change. Craig Ginn’s songs strike at the very heart of the inter-generational social challenges suffered by First Nations, Métis and Inuit peoples in Canada, which are historically embedded in our systems and perpetuated to this day. The Songs of Justice can help us to better understand the truths of colonialism and how to thoughtfully move closer to reconciliation in a good way.”

- Karen Benzies, PhD Professor Faculty of Nursing, University of Calgary
